Baking has always been my passion. My grandpa was my biggest inspiration. In his culinary career he was able to become the executive chef at Hotel Fort Des Moines. He had the honor to create meals for several presidents and actors. He even had a knack for ice carvings that would be the center piece of those meals.
As a kid instead of watching cartoons I would watch cooking shows. Even the neighbor knew that is what I spent my time doing. He would hang his cookbook magazines, from his subscriptions, on the fence lining our property for me to take. One day he even gave me his mother's cook books and recipe cards.
During my junior year of high school I enrolled in culinary school and received my culinary degree at Iowa Culinary Institute. After working in the culinary field I became a stay at home mom. I was craving getting back into the industry so I opened a wholesale cookie business from our home.
After that we decided to take a leap of faith and open a food truck. We initially were going to open a deli food truck but soon realized I couldn't steer from my passion. So cookies it is!
We soon realized there was a huge need for allergen friendly cookies and I went to work on creating our Gluten free/ vegan chocolate chip cookies. Realizing the need everywhere we launched the shipping of the cookies for those customers that want a real cookie with wholesome ingredients all with a mission βto sweeten the world with butter and love one bite at a time!β
